As the route heads toward the western end, there is a stop in Aquinnah to visit the iconic Gay Head Cliffs, where the colorful clay cliffs and ocean views provide a striking backdrop. Along the way, there is also time to browse a few small local shops and galleries that highlight island-made goods and artwork. By around 6:00pm, the tour reaches Menemsha, a classic fishing village known for its harbor views and fresh seafood stands. Here, you can pick up dinner to-go—often including oysters, lobster, and other local catches—along with wine or other refreshments to enjoy later. The evening then wraps up with a relaxed beach picnic to watch the sunset at around 8:19pm, before heading back to the hotel between 9:15 and 9:30pm.
